Parks
Wayne National Forest- Athens and Washington County, Ohio
Offering over 300 miles of trails for hiking, off-road vehicle riding, mountain biking, and/or horsebackriding, Wayne National Forest is Ohio's only national forest.Other recreation opportunities offered include canoeing, camping, fishing, hunting, scenic byways, wildlife observation sites, picnicking, plant collecting, and other special events points of interest.

Burr Oak State Park- Athens County, Ohio
Burr Oak offers a wide variety of summer and winter activities. Some of these activities include fishing, hiking, backpacking, picnicking, boat rentals, and much more.

Ohio Department of Natural Resources Ohio State Parks- Athens County, Ohio
This Department of Natural Resources website allows you to choose any park in the state of Ohio. Information such as activities offered, location, and hours of operation is included for each park.

Old Man's Cave- Athens County, Ohio
The most popular of all the Hocking areas is Old Man's Cave. Here at the Upper Falls, the Grandma Gatewood Trail begins its six-mile course connecting three of the park's areas: Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls to Ash Cave. This same trail has been designated as part of Ohio's Buckeye Trail as well as part of two national systems - the North Country Scenic Trail and America's Discovery Trail.

Forked Run State Park- Meigs County, Ohio
Fishing, hiking, camping, boat rentals, and swimming are just a few of the activities offered at Forked Run State Park.

State Parks and Forests in Hocking - Hocking County, Ohio

Wolf Run Lake State Park- Noble County, Ohio

With 3,550 acres of water, Seneca Lake is the third largest inland lake in Ohio. Seneca Lake offers a full service marina, camping, hiking, cabin rentals, and a restaurant that is open year round.

Muskingum River State Park- Morgan County, Ohio

Uncle Buck's Riding Stable- Athens County, Ohio
Uncle Buck's offers trail rides, hay rides, and a dance barn available for any occasion.

Smoke Rise Ranch- Athens County, Ohio
Trail Riding , equine clinics , round up rides , pool and hot tub parties, hay rides, BBQ's , team ropings and team pennings , cutting and music events are just a few of the activities offered by the Smoke Rise Ranch. A calendar of events lists upcoming activities throughout the year.

Lone Oak Farm- Meigs County, Ohio
Beginner and advanced trails, birthday parties, camping, and riding lessons offered.

Spotted Horse Ranch- Hocking County, Ohio
Horses available for rent, camping, a party hall, and a vacation cabin are all available at the Spotted Horse Ranch.

Three Reasons Farm- Hocking County, Ohio
Campsites including horse stalls and water hookup, hiking trails, and access to all of the Hocking Hills Bridle Trails offered from Three Reasons Farm.

Stone Valley Ranch- Hocking County, Ohio
Horses available for rent to trail ride on either the 480 acres of private land, or through the thousands of acres in the nearby Hocking State Forest, Zaleski State Forest or Wayne National Forest.

Bicycling
Hockhocking Adena Bikeway- Athens and Hocking County, Ohio
The 17 mile Hockhocking Adena Bikeway is located on the old Columbus and Hocking Valley Railroad bed. The Hockhocking Adena Bikeway website offers maps, bike rental locations, weather conditions, and a list of scenic attractions located along the path.

Boat Access
Meigs County Boat Access- Meigs County, Ohio
A list of directions to various boat ramps and access areas throughout Meigs County.

Hocking Hills Canoe Livery- Hocking County, Ohio
Canoes, kayaks, or rafts are available to rent for use in any of the Canoe Livery's trips through the Hocking Hills. Naturalist programs, field trips, group rates, and camping are also available.

Old Man River Canoe Livery- Hocking County. Ohio
Old Man River Canoe Livery offers canoeing or kayaking trips down the Hocking river. A free pizza is given to each canoe, and overnight accommodations are also available in the Light House Cottages.

Morgan County Boating- Morgan County, Ohio

Golfing
Meigs County Golf Course- Meigs County, Ohio
Directions to and a description of the 9 hole par 34 Meigs County Golf Course.

The Ridge at Laurel Inc. Golf Course- Hocking County, Ohio
Located in the Hocking Hills, The Ridge at Laurel Inc. Golf Course offers a 19 hole par 71 course with cart and club rentals available.

Whiskey Run Lodge and Golf Course- Noble County, Ohio
This 18 hole par 70 course has a driving range along with clubs and carts available for rent. An activity center and the Whiskey Run Lodge provide overnight accommodations and space for parties, weddings, or other events.

Oxbow Golf and Country Club- Washington County, Ohio
Oxbow Golf Course was designed by Legendary Jack Kidwell in 1973. His bundle of masterpieces has earned him Hall of Fame honors with the likes of Pete Dye, Jack & Arnie. The course also earned a 3 star rating in Golf Digests's "Places to Play."

Camping
Top O' The Caves Campground- Hocking County, Ohio
Within walking distance of three state parks, Top O' The Caves offers two different styles of cabins, primitive camping, RV sites, and tipis available for rent. A mini golf course, game room, playground, and fishing pond is also available for use.

Caveman Retreats Campground- Hocking County, Ohio
Tents and camping accessories are available for rent from Caveman Retreats. Also available are cabins, wooded or open camp sites, and a stocked fishing pond.

Hocking Hills Camping- Hocking County, Ohio

Wildlife
The Wilds, Noble County, Ohio
The Wilds is a 1300 acre preserve home to groups of rhinos, giraffes, wild horses, and many other species of African, Asian, and North American wildlife. Guided tours of both the preserve and behind the scenes are available.
