 Highways
Southeast Ohio is located within one-day's drive of about 60 percent of the U.S. population and about 50 percent of Canada's population. Interstate 77 passes through the region. The divided four-lane highways U.S. Route 33, U.S. Route 50 and State Route 32 also serve the region.
 Airports
Appalachian Ohio boasts easy access to three of Ohio’s four largest airports and Pittsburgh’s international airport. West Virginia's largest airport in Charleston is also close by. Regional airports accommodate smaller aircraft and, in some cases, limited commercial lines.
 Rail Services
Southeast Ohio is served by Norfolk & Southern as well as CSX. Additionally, the Indiana & Ohio Central and Ormet Railroad Corp. shortline railroads serve the region.
 Inland Waterways
About as much tonnage of freight is shipped on the Ohio River each year as passes through the Panama Canal. Southeast Ohio has two commercial river terminals for movement of bulk materials.
